• Bharathanatyam Dancer

Shahana started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of three under the guidance of her illustrious Guru, Kalaimamani Smt. Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala. Impressed by her prodigious talent, dedication and courage she was given an opportunity to perform on stage at the age of 5, taking part in Guru’s production. Quick at grasping the nuances of the art, she got passionately involved in the learning process and over years she has been groomed into an enthusiastic dancer. She had the privilege to perform in IDA Tirupathi Brahmotsavam.

Guru gave her a thorough grounding in the theoretical aspects of dance and taught her the Karnas style. She also had numerous opportunities to tour in and around India and UK and dance in many productions choreographed by her Guru. From her first public performance at a tender age, she has more than 150 state performances to her credit, covering wide audiences. She has performed along with her guru in various cultural activities in India and Abroad such as European Telugu Association, London, UK.
