Initiated into this divine art at the tender age of 5, she has been moulded under the excellent and gentle guidance of her Guru. She staged her arangetram at the age of 9 on the 18th of June 2015.

Dakshina Gopi, is the first-generation dance enthusiast from an ancestral business family. She is now, an expressive and energetic 11 year old girl with immense talent and dedication. She has been interested in dance since early childhood and her initiation started with the ballet at the Russian Cultural Centre in Chennai. Though her initial calling was western, she was inspired on seeing one of the performances of her future Gurukula, Kala Pradarshini, of Kalamamani Shrimati Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala and got drawn towards the Dakshina Bharatha Paramparyam of the Bharthanatyam.
