The training methodology followed at the institution allows the complete development of the students’ body, mind and soul in their journey to becoming performers. Apart from the primary focus in dance training, students are acquainted to dance theory drawing from texts like Natya Sastra Sangraha ,Laghu Bharatam and Parvathi's book Anushthana. Students are also exposed to frequent training workshops in allied topics like yoga, kalarippayattu, abhinaya,nattuvangam and more.
Students pursuing their training at Kala Pradarshini have been recognized at various forums for their proficiency in Bharatanatyam, bringing home laurels like the CCRT scholarships, graded artists of the Doordarshan, recipients and qualifiers of the prestigious Balashree award from the Central Government of India and recipient of the state awards as well.
Kala Pradarshini being a Bharatanatyam dance academy that is recognized in India and overseas has offered its students opportunities to travel to various venues for performances and workshops that have given them all round exposure. The Department of Culture, Government of India has recognized Kala Pradarshini as a teaching academy and has been offering a salary grant to the institution, this has opened up opportunities to young artiste who want to pursue their profession in dance.
Students are given advanced training to be soloists as well as given opportunities to participate in major group productions at prestigious venues through the year. They are also given training in the nattuvangam (wielding cymbals) for dance. The senior students are encouraged to assist their teacher in conducting classes and in concerts. Several of the senior students have gone on and opened full time dance schools in Australia, USA, Ireland, London, Canada, Bangalore, Madurai and Chennai.
